Unlike riding a motorcycle, the seating position on a scooter is very comfortable and posture friendly. On a scooter, you are sitting in it-------not on top of it. The seat provides ample room for the rider and the passenger with storage under the seat.

The handle bar controls are very simple to master. The rear brake is controlled by the left hand lever, the front brake is controlled by the right hand lever, and the twist n go throttle is on the right hand grip. Turn the key to “ON”, push the start button and the engine comes to life, quiet and ready for you to twist the throttle to start your scooter adventure.

In order to keep motor scooter riders safe and well informed regarding road rules, the Golden State of California does require a motorcycles license to operate a motor scooter. This is a good thing for all concerned.

Attaining a California Motorcycle License is easy, fun, and very cool to have the big “M” on your drivers’ license. The process includes a visit to the DMV or you may go online at ww.ca.dmv.gov to attain a California motorcycle handbook. Review the handbook and then go to the DMV to get a motorcycle permit. The permit will allow you to ride your scooter during daylight hours with no passengers and not on the freeway. Once you are comfortable with your riding skills you can then go back to the DMV to take the riders’ skills test. If you attend a CHP approved motorcycle riders training class and receive their certification of completion, The DMV will waive your skills test.
